The Oklahoma City Thunder took a 2-0 series lead with a 118-103 win over Minnesota Timberwolves in Game 2 of the Western Conference finals on Thursday.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander – who accepted the NBA MVP award from Commissioner Adam Silver before the game – posted 38 points, eight assists and three steals in the game, making 12 of 21 field goals and 13 of 15 free throws. Jalen Williams had 26 points and 10 rebounds and Chet Holmgren added 22 points for the Thunder.

Gilgeous-Alexander said after the game: “I feel like all my emotions were so high, but I was a little bit tired out there, especially at the start. I was a little too juiced up. Special moment. I’m happy we won so I can really enjoy the last couple days and soak it up. That really helps.” (per ESPN.)

Game 3 will take place in Minneapolis on Saturday.
