Trafalgar Releasing has confirmed that the long-anticipated Iron Maiden documentary, Iron Maiden: Burning Ambition, will arrive in North American theaters for a limited engagement starting May 7.

The feature-length film, directed by Malcolm Venville and produced by Dominic Freeman traces the band’s extraordinary five-decade rise from East London upstarts to global metal icons. An official synopsis for the film reads: “With unprecedented access to official band archives, Iron Maiden: Burning Ambition charts five decades of one of the most iconic journeys in music history. Featuring interviews with the band and contributors such as Javier Bardem, Lars Ulrich, and Chuck D, this electrifying film offers an intimate look at their uncompromising vision and unwavering connection with their global army of fans.”

Beyond the band members themselves, the documentary includes insights from high-profile admirers such as Javier Bardem, Lars Ulrich, and Chuck D, each reflecting on Iron Maiden’s lasting cultural and musical impact. The first official poster artwork, created by Albert “Akirant” Quirantes, has also been unveiled.

The film’s debut coincides with the band’s ongoing “Run For Your Lives” World Tour, which returns to North America in late summer with support from Megadeth and Anthrax. The tour has already included a major homecoming concert at London Stadium, close to where the group first formed. The band has also announced EddFest, a special celebration set for July 11 at Knebworth Park, part of more than 50 scheduled performances worldwide in 2026.

Fans can find screening updates and ticket information through the film’s official website.
